Precaution 1: Most ATM¡¯s are covered by camera.The thief will therefore have his face covered.
Precaution 2: The thief will have to wait about 20 seconds (which can seem like an eternity when in a rush) and the ATM may make some noise thereafter. The best time to attempt this hack is therefore at night, when there is nobody around. Remember, most ATM¡¯s are accessible 24 hours a day.
Precaution 3: Obviously the thief will need to know the pin number. This hack is not about hacking the pin. The thief can use their own credit card, at least once.
Precaution 4: The thief must ascertain whether the bank operates a ¡®cash retraction/retention policy¡¯ for their ATM machines. Most banks do have such a policy.
Step 1: The thief uses an available credit/debit card (preferably with a large withdrawal limit) and selects the option to withdraw a specific amount of cash.The greater the number of notes the thief withdraws, the easier step 2 becomes.The card is returned and the cash is released into the cash dispenser.
Step 2: This is the critical point. Calm and have steady hands are important: The thief holds firm of the top or bottom few notes of the cash pile (with a slight push into the dispenser) with one hand and with the other hand, slide- pulls the remaining (larger pile) of cash from the dispenser.
Step 3: If the thief has successfully managed to keep a few notes in the cash dispenser, he has to about wait 20 seconds.Warning:The ATM machine may make a few noises. But after the elapsed time, the ATM will take the remaining cash back into the ATM.
Having assumed someone is attempting to mug the thief, the ATM takes the cash back and cancels the entire transaction. ATM¡¯s can count the cash out but can¡¯t count the cash back into the machine.
If the thief chose to withdraw
If the thief chose to withdraw 5000 and retain 500 within the ATM, the bank will cancel the entire 5000 transaction. And the thief will have pocketed 500 of ¡®free cash¡¯.
THE SOLUTIONS
There are a couple things banks can do to improve their security. If machines can count cash out, they should be able to count incoming cash from the same cash dispenser. Or banks can disable the automatic cash retraction policy and have the account holder come in to the bank to make a claim.
Some banks (such as first bank fcmb etchave cancelled their cash retraction policy, altogether.
But banks in the UK appear to be moving in the opposite direction. In the past, banks such as HSBC, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Tesco Bank held on to retracted money in reserve until the account holder made a claim.
Barclays Bank plc and Lloyds TSB Group have an automatic cast re-crediting policy, as do Santander but only if the account holder is a Santander customer.
It is time for banks to improve their ATM technology so the cash can be counted back into the machine.

In my disapproval to this devilish Act, I submit that as a Nation, Nigeria must separate religion from state, and allow human right to take its course of full application.
That President Goodluck Jonathan, a man so learned up to doctoral level would give his presidential assent to an evil Act seeking to criminalise people not because they have committed a crime against anyone, but freely choosing who they want as partner is a very stupid move in 2014.
The Nigerian nation is presently submerged in different rivers of corruption, threatening to overflow the very essence of our national bank, yet the Government did not deem it fit to enforce, strengthen or pass legislation that will clamp the overgrown wings of this monster, instead they seek a more politically correct diversion, a route some of them walk in their nights.
Nigeria is a signatory to the United Nations Convention and Africa Charter on Human Rights which includes universally agreed right to private life and freedom of association. These rights are currently under threat in Nigeria today. We cannot allow this madness to stand.
Let me send a notice to the Nigerian Government that I will challenge this Human Right infringement in court of law. It certainly will not stand. This is not a case for LGBT community alone, its a case that borders on peoples right to live freely and peacefully in a country they call theirs.
Let the government do the right thing by making amends before its too late.

It's very common in our society for anyone who advocates for gay rights to be accused of being gay themself as some of the commentators on here have accused the Charles Jiduwah.
If you truly believe in human rights, you can't pick and choose which group to advocate for. Be it the disabled, women, a particular ethnic group, albinos etc. A truly great nation is judged on it's greatness by the way it protects it's minorities and Nigeria has woefully failed this test

This whole gay debate seem to have completely passed me by. I have to say I totally lost
interest when I failed to understand how the percecution and
imprisonment of gays is going to solve the Boko haram issue or reduce
the high unemployment rate facing our youths.
Maybe na me be the moomu. I assume that when we've locked up all the gays the high crime rate in Nigeria will be highly reduced and there will be no more armed robberies and kidnappings. If any of those that are feeling victorious and euphoric on the signing of this bill can help explain to me how it's passage can help improve the dire electricity situation or improve schools and hospitals may be I might join in the elation and gladly celebrate the signing of this bill.
As a heterosexual Nigerian male who is very confident & secure in my sexuality, I do not and will never regard a homosexual Nigerian male or female less of a Nigerian than me

You definitely should know that it cannot work in Nigeria. This
is not America where gay rights is human rights. There are still couple
of states in US that opposes same sex marriage. This is social

According to both the holy Quran and the Bible, the people of
prophet Lot were destroyed by the Almighty God due to same sex marriage.
If not that the current gay countries can not reason well, they should
have known that God has already started giving them series of warnings
like severe ice rain, wild fires, severe flooding, and strong winds like
typhoon and others. Mind you, all these are just warning signs compared
to what will eventually happen to any country or individual that failed

this is something that affects only the minority. Besides, life is so
hard in Nigeria, thanks to the politicians, that an average Nigerian
feels like they have a bigger fish to fry. Where will the next meal come
from? As an African who has lived most of his life in the white man’s
world, I know what it feels like to be a minority. Protection of the
minority is a good attribute of a society. I have heard the gays argue
that homosexuality is not a lifestyle choice, but a natural human
